July 25, 2007 – Tour leader, Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank), is out of the Tour de France dismissed by his own team for allegedly lying about his whereabouts when he missed out of competition tests in June. The team has pulled him from the Tour and may not continue itself on Stage 17 tomorrow. Rasmussen won Stage 16 today and Alberto Contador Velasco (Spa) Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team was third and is second overall – with Rasmussen out he will likely take over the yellow jersey.
