March 13, 2010 (Murrietta, CA) – The OUCH Sports Medical Center 20k Time Trial – the first stage of the Tour de Murrietta – took place on Fiesta Island in San Diego yesterday. Ruth Clarence (USA) Specialized Designs for Women won the women’s race in a time of 26:26, while Canada’s Leah Guloien (Can) Total Restoration finished 13th.

In the Cat 1-2 Men’s race, the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team presented by Maxxis dominated the podium, taking the top four positions in the time trial, as well as sixth and seventh places. Rory Sutherland (USA) United Healthcare led the squad with a time of 24:52, followed by Karl Menzies (USA) United Healthcare in second and Roman Kilun (USA) United Healthcare in third. Canada’s Spencer Smitheman (Can) NOW-MS Society finished 38th.
