May 25, 2008 (Traverse City, Michigan) – Anne Samplonius (Cheerwine) has won the 4th Annual Priority Health Tour de Leelanau 112km women’s race with team mate Leigh Hobson in second, while Canada’s Charles Dionne (Successful Living) finished 4th behind winner Taylor Tolleson (USA) BMC in the men’s 177km event.

“It was a fairly hilly race with few flat sections,” said Dionne in a Sportcom release. “It was the type of race I could win, but when I think back only two weeks ago, at my first race in Oregon where I found it really tough since returning from my injury, I’m really happy with my performance here in Michigan.”

“My form has improved 100% between Oregon and Michigan,” added Dionne who will be at the CSC Classic in Washington DC next weekend. “There’s a big stretch of races coming up which are important for the Olympic team selection. I’m hoping to do well in the coming weeks.”
