May 14, 2011 (St. Louis, MO) – Joelle Numainville (Can) TIBCO/To the Top had to un-clip following a crash in the last corner and finished second while Leah Kirchmann (Can) Colavita/Forno d’Asolo p/b Cooking Light claimed third at the Stage 2 NRC Women’s 60 min+3-lap race at the Tour de Grove won by Kirchmann’s teammate Edita Janeliunaite (Ita). The prize purse for the women was $7,500, the highest paying single-day race in Missouri.
Michael Northey (USA) Pure Black Racing won the men’s 75-min+3-lap race with a $15,000 prize purse at stake. Rounding out the podium was Jake Keough (USA) UnitedHealthCare in second and Christian Helmig (USA) Elbowz Racing in third.
