December 23, 2009 – The Tour de Georgie (TdG), one of the three most prestigious US road races which began in 2003 and did not hold a 2009 edition, has been cancelled for 2010 reports the Examiner. TdG organizers today pointed to lack of sponsorships as the reason for pulling the plug for the 2010 edition, but promised that they are “fully committed to bringing the Tour de Georgia back as soon as possible.”
