Tour de France Stage 8 Results – Pinot Takes the Win

July 08, 2012 (Porrentruy, France) – Thibaut Pinot (Fra) FDJ-Big Mat scored the win on Stage 8 from Belfort to Porrentruy, 157.5 km, soloing in for the victory with defending Tour champ Cadel Evans (Aus) BMC Racing Team in second and race leader Bradley Wiggins (Gbr) Sky Procycling in 4th with the same time as Evans. This was the biggest win of Pinot’s career as he sits third overall in the Best Young Rider Classification.
