Tour de France Stage 10

July 14, 2003 – Former six-day racer Jakob Piil (CSC) put his track skills to use today by taking a two-up sprint over Italian Fabio  Sacchi (Saeco). The pair attacked from a nine-man break which had escaped earlier in the stage but had no one who was high on G.C. Italian Stefano Garzelli, (Vini Caldirola-So.Di), thought to be a possible threat going into this year's Tour, did not start today.  All the other favourites finished comfortably in the pack; Lance Armstrong (USPS)  still holds the yellow jersey, just 12 seconds ahead of Alexandre Vinokourov  (Telekom).
