October 26, 2007 – Here are some photos from the 2008 Tour de France unveiling party held yesterday. The organizers, ASO, announced the 2008 Tour will begin on July 5 in Brest and end in Paris on July 27. On scene at the unveiling were 2007 Tour de France winner Alberto Contador (Spa), who signed with Astana for 2008, new Astana Team Director Johan Bruyneel, 2006 Tour de France winner Oscar Pereiro (Spa) Rabobank and 2007 ProTour winner and second-place finisher at this year’s Tour, Cadel Evans (Aus) Predictor-Lotto.
