Toronto Bike Shop Owner Charged With Bike Theft

July 19, 2008 (Toronto, ON) – Police allege that the owner of The Bicycle Clinic on Queen Street West in Toronto was involved in a large-scale bicycle theft operation and have recovered approximately 150 high-end bicycles, valued as high as $7,000, during their investigation. In addition some cocaine and marijuana were also found during their search. The investigation was prompted after a bicycle planted by police was stolen. The stolen bikes are on display at the police station garage at 9 Hanna St. in an attempt to help owners recover their stolen property. For more on this story CTV, CBC.
