Tom Danielson Signs with Fasso Bartolo

August 29, 2003 (Waukesha, WI) – The young Saturn rider, Tom Danielson, has formally announced that he has signed with Fasso Bartolo this week. Danielson, a relatively unknown rider when signed by Saturn last fall, has met with tremendous success in the 2003 season on the Saturn Team. Winner of the Tour of Malaysia, the Cascade Classic, The International and the Mount Washington hill climb, it was clear that the talented rider was destined for a Division One team. Danielson's wins were an ingredient to the overall recipe for success for the 2003 Saturn Men's squad which included wins at Redlands, Sea Otter, Tour of Georgia, and the Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic. The Saturn Team currently leads the NRC rankings and is ranked number 2 in the UCI Division Three standings.

Following in the rich history of providing the support, learning tools and professional polish that has seen the likes of Freddy Rodriguez, Levi Leipheimer, Michael Barry, Chann McRae and many others go from the Saturn Team to a Division One Team, Saturn is pleased with this next step for Danielson. Tom Schuler, General Manager for the Saturn Team, is especially proud with this next step in Danielson's career, “Tom Danielson has been a fantastic addition to the Saturn Team. I am very happy for Tom and at the same time sad to see him leave us. The Saturn program has been as good for Tom as Tom has been for the Saturn team and both have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship. For any young athlete to learn from our group of willing leaders, especially Chris Horner, is a once in a life time opportunity and Tom made the most of it. Tom is the 13th Saturn team member to move from the Saturn team on to a Division I program and that is something that all young cyclists are aware of. Tom is obviously very talented and Team Sports and Saturn wish him all the best in the future.”
