Tobago Cycling Classic Stage 1 – Canada’s Lachance Scores

October 04, 2012 (Tobago) – Canada’s Jean Michel Lachance (Team Vitamalt) grabbed the first stage win of the 2012 Tobago Cycling Classic, taking the omnium lead in the process. The 90km Stage 1 consisted of 10 laps of a 9km circuit with five sprint primes. There were a number of attacks during the race and the top 10 riders were splintered into smaller groups when they crossed the line. The main peloton crossed three minutes behind.
