Tirreno-Adriatico 2011 Stage 2 Brief Results – Farrar Wins

March 10, 2011 (Arezzo, Italy) – Tyler Farrar (USA) Team Garmin-Cervelo scored the victory in a sprint finish at the end of the 202km Stage 2 from Carrara to Arezzo. He outgunned heavy hitters, like Alessandro Petacchi (Ita) Lampre – ISD, Juan José Haedo (Arg) Saxo Bank Sungard, and Mark Renshaw (Aus) HTC-Highroad, who wound up second through fourth, respectively. Farrar now leads the overall by 2s over Thomas Leezer (Ned) Rabobank Cycling Team.
