June 28, 2003 (Hamilton, ON) – Prime Alliance's Svein Tuft took second yesterday in the individual time trial, so perhaps today's win in the crit was a kind of redemption. Tuft took off early on the 900 metre course and stayed half a minute clear to take the race, over Pedal columnist, Tim Lefevbre (Jetfuel), and Midweek's Peter Morse. Like the women's race, many of the favourites for tomorrow's National road race were absent, but the race was still aggressive, with 60+ riders single file on the tight coursre.
