June 28, 2003 – On a fast, hot crit course through dowtown Hamilton, Ont., Gina Grain (Victory/Amoroso's) has won, over Anne Samplonius (Quebec) and Emilie Roy (Quebec.)  Although the race is no longer a national championship, the race was still contested fiercely by those who chose to do the criterium. There were several notable absentees at the race, obviously saving their legs for tomorrow's 9am start of the road race.
