July 21, 2007 (Mt. Washington, B.C.) — In rainy wet conditions Jeff Clarkson (BC, BC Team) and Andréanne Pichette (QC) Opus/OGC have won the junior men’s and women’s XC titles at the Tim Hortons MTB XC Nationals today. The junior men completed four (4) laps of the 6.4 km circuit while junior women completed three (3) laps.
Mitchell Bailey (ON) and Natasha Oldcorn (ON) both from Team Ontario have won the U17 men’s and women’s titles respectively.
The official results just pasted below conflict with our understanding that Jeff Clarkson (BC) Team BC is the 2007 Junior XC champ and we are investigating this.
The error has been corrected and the revised official results now indicate that Jeff Clarkson (BC) Team BC is the 2007 Junior XC champ.
