July 13, 2008 (Mont Ste Anne, Quebec) – Canada’s 2008 DH champs were crowned today on a rain-clogged and muddy course that challenged the country’s best downhill riders on a 2.389km course at Mont Ste Anne, Quebec that featured lots of crashes and mechanicals. In the end Andrew Mitchell (BC) Cove Bikes and Sheila Morris (ON) Cycle Solutions/Angry Johnnys Racing are the new Elite men’s and women’s champions while Anne Laplante (QC) Equipe du Québec/Équipe Grounded defended her Junior women’s crown as Yann Gauvin (QC) Equipe du Québec/Mathieu Performance is the new Junior Men’s champ.
