December 18, 2009 – We recently received a note from a Tim Heemskerk fan letting us know that the former Alberta racer/coach, who lived there for the past five years and was very heavily involved in Alberta’s cycling scene, has moved back to his native Netherlands and was recently named as head coach of the Dutch National Mountain Bike Team.
“Heemskerk was a very strong positive influence on the Alberta cycling scene during his five years in Edmonton and was multiple time / multiple discipline provincial champion, as well as a coach to many success stories for different Alberta racers.”
