February 20, 2013 (Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic) – Canada’s Remi Pelletier-Roy (Garneau-Québecor) was just off the podium in 4th followed by Pierrick Naud in fifth at the 144km Stage 1 in Santa Domingo as the Vuelta Independencia Nacional got underway today in the Dominican Republic.
Pierrick Naud is second in the U23 classification at 11 seconds back but he’s over 6 minutes ahead of 3rd, and Garneau-Québecor is the top team on GC. Jean-Michel Lachance is leading a strong Ekoi.ca/For the planet squad as well and finished 28th today.Results
