June 10, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – On Saturday, June 11, participants will kick off The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute at The Princess Margaret Hospital by beginning their 200-kilometre or 200-mile ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls, to raise significant funds and awareness for cancer research and care in Ontario. Opening Ceremonies will get underway at the Direct Energy Centre, at 8:00 a.m. with a moving tribute to honour those lost in the battle against cancer and to celebrate survivors. Riders then begin their unforgettable weekend journey.

Saturday, June 11 – DAY 1
Opening Ceremonies; 8:00 a.m

– The day’s ride ends at 7:00 pm. Riders will arrive to a ‘Tent City” where they will enjoy a warm meal, hot showers, entertainment, and a cozy night under the stars. Live entertainment will also be provided for riders.
