August 22, 2014 – Ontario’s Ted Velikonja, a First Vice President at CIBC Wood Gundy, is taking on the Vuelta a España as he continues his goal to complete all of the Grand Tours. Velikonja, who is riding all of the stages one day before the pros, started his challenging 3,300km journey today, along with his personal domestiques, Pedal’s Tim Lefebvre and Christopher Balogh. The 69th edition of the Grand Tour starts tomorrow with a 12.5km team time-trial in the Andalusian city of Jerez de la Frontera.

Velikonja has already completed the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia.
