October 31, 2009 – Following last year participation at the Vuelta, the team has been re-invited to the event and we are now looking for 2 Canadian riders to complete the roster of 9 riders. The race start on December 16th to finish on the 28th with a rest day on the 24. The first stages are flat with mountain stages after few days of racing.
Last year, canadian Phil Cortes, who usually races for Italian Amore-Vita, won stage 6 after an impressive breakaway on the 180km stage. Phil is back this year and very motivated for the upcoming race.
The team will be once again professionally supported by Marc Dufour and Émilie Roy of Groupe Centrifuge.
Riders
Cyclists interested in the challenge need to contact us at team(a)tourdequebec.com as soon as possible.
Team sponsorship
Title team sponsorship for this event is available and should bring lots of exposure. Last year, our team was featured 2-3 times in Quebec’s newspaper. The team will send daily updates to all major Canadian cycling websites and local newspapers. Rider interviews, pictures and much more will be posted on our Youtube and Facebook account. The race is broadcast live on two different channels, the radios and the newspapers. Last year crowds were nothing comparable to any cycling event in Canada with thousands of spectators. If interested in team sponsorship, contact us at team(a)tourdequebec.com
