Team TIBCO 2007 – Canada\’s Linda Jackson is Director Sportif

February 7, 2007 (Los Altos, California) – Following its successful debut on the National Circuit in 2006, Team TIBCO has expanded its team to compete in a full calendar for 2007. Formerly known as PABW Powered by TIBCO, the team won stages at each of the national races it entered in 2006: Altoona, Nature Valley and Mt. Hood; and won the over all classification at the Bermuda Grand Prix. TIBCO Software is now the title sponsor for the team. “We are extremely grateful to TIBCO for their support” said Linda Jackson, Director Sportif. “Their sponsorship is enabling these talented women to pursue their passion and become the best that they can be” she added.

The team is continuing its partnership with LOOK and will be riding the new LOOK 585 Elle road frame and 496 TT frame as it is gears up to expand on its successful 2006 campaign. “We’re happy to be part of this exciting program and look forward to developing a long-term relationship with the team” said Ming Tan, Vice-President, Marketing and Development for LOOK CYCLE USA. “The LOOKs are really great bikes. LOOK has done an excellent job of combining stiffness and comfort. When I sprint, the bike leaps forward. But it is also a really comfortable bike, making those long training rides a pleasure.” said Brooke Miller.

The team has joined forces with HED Cycling for 2007 and will be riding Bastogne and Jet 50 wheels on the 585 Elle road frame, along with full TT equipment for the 496 TT frame: integrated aero bars, HED 3 and Lenticular disc wheels. “With our predominant focus on stage racing, we are really excited to be working with a company of HED’s caliber,” said Jackson. “Their wheels and TT equipment are second to none.”

Team TIBCO will also be working with SRAM Corporation. “We’re proud to be associated with Team TIBCO and confident they will continue as one of the most successful women’s programs in the U.S. SRAM Force componentry and its DoubleTap actuation deliver the best ergonomics for any rider as both shifts are actuated with one lever. Linda Jackson has put together a quality program with several really strong riders, and we are looking forward to a great partnership,” said Alex Wassmann, SRAM Road Sponsorship Manager. Additional product partners include Champion System, Clif Bar, Crumpler, Fitness 101, Giro, Hibros Sport, Kinetic by Kurt, Physically Focused, Revolutions in Fitness, Ritchey Logic, San Marco, SciCon, Skirt Sports, Smith Optics, and Yokozuna.

Where last year I described our athletes as “˜diamonds in the rough’, for 2007 they are more “˜polished’,” she added. The team will race in over 20 events in Silicon Valley, compete in a full national racing calendar and will also compete in two international events: the Montreal World Cup and the Tour of Montreal.
