July 3, 2007 (Cumberland , BC) – Team Pedal-Specialized has now completed Stages 2 and 3 at the BC Bike Race. There were problems filing their Stage 2 report yesterday, but things are back to normal from the front lines and we have just posted their daily updates for Stages 2 and 3.

Team Pedal-Specialized Stage 3 Daily Update

Our apologizes for missing last night’s report. The long weekend, small towns and no internet access presented challenges for this rookie reporter.

Today, Day 3, was all about adventure racing. The stage took on three distinct parts – part road race, part adventure race and part mountain bike race. It rained all night which had us in arm warmers and our Pearl Izumi rain jackets for the start of the race. Our police escorts took us through the suburbs of Port Alberni and then unleashed us onto the Loggers Trail for a mud-riddled charge towards Cumberland.
