May 12, 2008 – Team EVA Devinci was racing again this weekend, taking part in the Bear Mountain Road Race in New York State. Like every year, this race was taking place in Harriman State park on a difficult 22km loop that riders had to cover seven times. Near the end of this long and grueling event, a group of six cyclists went free in front of the peloton. Jean-Sebastien Perron and Dominique Perras of EVA were among the escapees. With less than 3km to go, Dominique attacked hard to try to solo in for the win. The group caught him back and they came in for a sprint finish. Matthew Johnson of team Empire got the win by the slimmest margin over Jean-Sebastien Perron, while Perras still had enough left in the tank to get third. Another great weekend for EVA Devinci, taking two out of three spots on the podium.
