March 17, 2011 (Apeldoorn, Netherlands) – Here is a selection of photos of Canadian athletes as they prepare for the 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships that run from March 23 to 27 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. The 15-member squad includes World Cup women’s and men’s omnium champions Tara Whitten and Zach Bell along with summer and winter Olympic medal winner, Clara Hughes of Glen Sutton, QC, who joined the team on this trip, along with young up-and-comer Jasmin Glaesser of Coquitlam, BC, who is along for a valuable training and learning experience.

Head Coach Richard Wooles is confident the team has a strong chance of winning medals at the biggest track cycling event of the year.
