January 31, 2007 – Cycling BC will be hosting the second training camp of 2007 for potential Western Canada Games athletes in Victoria on March 19-21. This will be an evaluation camp; athletes hoping to make the 2007 BC Team should show up fit and ready to ride hard as we will conduct on road tests and training to evaluate athletes for future camps and projects.

If the demand is great enough, athletes will be invited to this camp based on their potential for the Western Canada Games. Priority will be given to athletes with both road and mountain bike racing experience and who are within the Western Canada Games age category. All riders must contact Steve Lund at the email address below to request a place in the camp.

Accommodations will be provided to out of town athletes who need a place to stay while in Victoria. A complete outline and more specific information for the camp will be sent out once numbers are confirmed. please confirm if you will need accommodation.

The 2007 Western Canada Games will be held in Alberta, August 3-11 and will feature a Road Race, Time Trial and Mountain Bike XC event. Participants must be under age 19 for men and under 21 for women and must compete in all three events.
