September 30, 2015 – TDA Global Cycling introduces The Last Degree, the first ever group fat bike expedition to the South Pole. In this incredible 18-day adventure, participants will cycle 111 km from the 89th parallel to the most southerly point on Earth – the Geographic South Pole. The cyclists will have an opportunity to experience firsthand the unforgiving but magical Antarctic landscape. They will be rewarded with the satisfaction of completing what was, until now, simply never done.
The expedition will start with 4 days of preparation in Punta Arenas, Chile. From there, the group will fly to the Union Glacier base camp in Antarctica. After further preparations and test rides, the group will be flown by small aircraft to the 89th parallel to begin this incredible challenge. Riding up to 20 km over the next 9 days, they will then make their way to the South Pole.
This is an opportunity to be part of a unique group of individuals that will be the ‘World’s First’ cycling group to stand at the South Pole.
