April 12, 2013 (Taipei, Taiwan) – With 1,103 exhibitors from 36 different countries, the Taipei International Cycle Show, along with Interbike in Vegas and Eurobike in Germany, is one of the big three bike shows world wide. Now in it’s 26th year, the show continues to grow attracting 11% more visitors than in 2012.
As the largest bicycle shows in Asia, Taipei Cycle is of major significance on a global scale as the majority of bicycle and product manufacturers are located in Taiwan, or just across the Taiwan Strait in China, and these companies engage the show as a platform to reach out to international vendors, and solidify relationships.
International vendors in turn utilize the show as a springboard into the highly lucrative Asian cycling market. This year’s event took place March 20-23 and Pedal was on hand to check out what’s new and exciting in the cycling industry for next season.
