Tahuya-Seabeck-Tahuya: Symmetrics Report

April 21, 2004 – We had another great weekend at Symmetrics Cycling! Not only did we field our entire men's and women's squads but we won both the men's and women's events. The TST Road Race attracts the top teams from all over the Pacific Northwest region and as the defending champions from 2003 the Symmetrics Cycling Team was not about to let 2004 be any different.

The men's race was won by Dylan Sebel after getting himself into an early move which built a lead of five minutes by the half way mark of the 115 km race. Dylan eventually rode his break companions (Ron Schmeer and Jonny Sundt) off of his wheel with nearly 40 km to go and soloed in for the win maintaining his five minute margin. The remainder of the Symmetrics squad were able to control the main field and were dominant on every one of the major climbs of the day.

Marni Prazsky showed great form matching her female competitors on all of the major climbs and then took advantage of her exceptional bike handling skills on the final descents to create a significant gap over second place. Marni soloed in for Symmetrics Cycling's second victory of the day.

I would encourage all of you to read the race report on NWRaceReport.com for an objective view on Symmetrics Cycling's successes at TST.
