June 18, 2006 — It was a solid day at the office for the Symmetrics Team today at the Formwerks Westside Cycling Classic B.C. Provincial Championships in Vancouver.

Great crowds and sunny skies greeted the racers as a record turnout competed on this tough Westside course.

Leah Goldstein broke away on the first lap of the women’s 78 km event and finished over five minutes ahead of the main field, taking the first prize cheque and the Queen of the Mountains.

The sprint for second saw Clare Hall-Patch take the win over Symmetrics Marni Hambleton to claim women’s B.C. provincial championship.

In the men’s event the Symmetrics duo of Eric Wohlberg and Cam Evans broke away on the first lap and stayed away the whole race. Wohlberg took the win over Evans with teammate Brad Fairall finishing alone in third, well ahead of the main field.

Evans won the provincial title while Wohlberg took the King of the Mountains cheque.
