May 28, 2008 (Vancouver, BC) – Canadian cycling star, Svein Tuft (Symmetrics), has announced that he will be on the start line at this Sunday’s Westside Classic in Vancouver, BC. Tuft, from Langley BC, is a strong contender for this year’s BC Provincial Road Race Championship crown. The former Canadian National Road Champion, current UCI Americas Tour Champion, and 2007 US Open Championship winner, is sure to set the race on fire and will be the man to beat on Sunday.
“I love racing in my hometown as I don’t get the opportunity very often. The Westside Classic is a great race on a spectacular course and I can’t wait to compete. The organization has put on a race we all should be proud of, coupled with the charitable work for the BC Cancer Foundation, I’m looking forward to a very special race this Sunday,” said Tuft.
The BC Cancer Foundation’s Westside Cycling Classic, is also offering a luxury “Live the Dream” tour for two to the Tour de France as a unique prize for the top fundraiser.
