Svein Tuft on the Elite Men\’s ITT Course

by pedalmag.com

September 23, 2009 (Mendrisio, Switzerland) – We contacted Canada’s Svein Tuft for our ITT Worlds Preview but his response came in a bit later than planned. Here’s what the 2008 Road Worlds ITT silver medallist had to say about the 49.5km course which the Elite men will soon contest as the competition gets underway at 11:30am local time (5:30am EST) on Thurs. Sept. 24.

“Rode the course yesterday and it’s beautiful. It’s going to suit a rider who can just put his head down and suffer. The climb is fairly difficult but not too long and I don’t think the race will be won there. The course will be a fast one and I don’t think the wind will play a big factor as it’s quite closed in and you change direction so much. 50km should take its toll on guys.”

Thanks
Svein T
