May 29, 2007 – Symmetrics Cycling is very pleased to announce that Langley, B.C.’s Svein Tuft has now taken over the lead in the UCI Americas Tour. Comprised of both South and North America, the UCI America Tour is an ongoing event each year between continental UCI teams. Tuft is the first Canadian to ever be in this position.

Tuft took the lead following his incredible wins at the Vuelta A Cuba, the US Open, and some fine showings at events like the Vuelta A El Salvador.

Tuft now has the honour to wear the distinctive UCI America Tour leader jersey for the entire month of June. Look for the Symmetrics rider in the jersey at some of the biggest races of the year, like Philly week and the Tour de Beauce!
