Join the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride for adventurous, 1-day stage rides in communities near you, and across Canada: the world’s longest charity cycling event on behalf of children with cancer.

Fifty (50) selected National Cyclists have been selected to ride 7,600 kms from Vancouver to Halifax from June 2nd to June 20th and visit many of Canada’s 17 pediatric cancer centres. Funds raised regionally will support community programmes through local hospitals or associated foundations.

Ride with thousands of cyclists who will join the National cyclists in cities across the country for shorter 25km and 100+ km stage rides. Funds raised through the stage rides will support community programs through local pediatric oncology hospitals or foundations.

If cycling is not your thing but you are passionate about the cause, why not grab your friends and volunteer for one or more of our exciting and fun-filled cycling events! We have a need for volunteers all year ’round to help us organize the events and attend to administrative assignments.

The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride is looking for 6 additional fulltime, and passionate individuals to join us on this inaugural 19-day journey with an emphasis on skill sets such as massage therapists, bike mechanics and drivers.

Additionally, Tour for Kids Ontario and Alberta have available 1 to 4 day fulltime volunteer opportunities for fun, like- minded individuals. Register now as volunteer spots are filling quickly for these popular summer fundraising events!

Rib ‘N Roll

The Rotary Club of Brampton’s popular ribfest, called Rib ‘n’ Roll, runs Friday and Saturday May 23 and 24 in Gage Park, Brampton and Tour For Kids is the charity of choice!

The event will be staged in Gage Park, Brampton on Friday evening from 5 to 11 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon to 11 p.m.

Music rules on both days including Marc Ekins, The Joys and Uptown Express and New Hollywood. On Saturday, there is plenty of activity for children including jumping toys, wall climbing, face painting, balloons and a special children’s entertainer. Music is continuous throughout the afternoon and evening.

Tour For Kids ambassador, Adam Fedosoff and his band, Tantrum will be performing Saturday afternoon! ADMISSION IS FREE! Join us in the park, wear your Tour For Kids shirts and hats, and enjoy professional ribbers, entertainment and support children with cancer. www.CoastToCoastAgainstCancer.org
