July 18, 2005 – The Boys get to Play with the Girls this week at the Sugoi Dirt Series The Sugoi Dirt Series is holding its first co-ed camp of the season this coming Wednesday, July 20th in Whistler. In just the last few months, the program has logged over 12,000 km on the road, hosting 11 camps and 400 mountain bikers from Santa Cruz, California to Edmonton, Alberta. Needless to say, the coaches are glad to be home to run camps right in the Sea to Sky Corridor in the coming week. This special one-day session will allow beginner through advanced riders the chance to focus on improving specific skills to help to get the most out of the riding season. Whistler offers an extremely progressive learning environment and the Sugoi Dirt Series brings in additional structures and teaching tools to make the camp absolutely ideal. The day runs from 8:30AM to 8:00PM and consists of morning skill sessions, lunch provided by Nesters Market, afternoon instructional rides either in the Valley or the Park, and an evening session at Snowcovers which includes maintenance clinics, bike fit opportunities, food and drinks.
In addition there are opportunities to demo the latest equipment from Rocky Mountain Bikes, Syncros and WTB components, and Hoots supplies a big pile of loaner armour . . and did we mention that your Whistler Bike Park lift ticket is included in the Camp cost? The co-ed camp will be a great way for women to show their guy friends the fun they’ve been having at the Sugoi Dirt Series camps for the past four years, or for men who want to work on their skills in an environment that’s a little more structured and supportive than “c’mon dude-you can ride it!” Exact camp details and registration information can be found at www.dirtseries.com. The Sugoi Dirt Series is presented by Rocky Mountain and supported by PowerBar, Nokian, Fox Racing Shox, Syncros, Hoots, Deuter, Carrera Eyewear, Lake, Giro, WTB, Pedros, Timbuk2, Brave Soldier, Russell Athletics, Sole Custom Footbeds, Sleeman Breweries and Kicking Horse Coffee.
