Sprockids On-Line Leader Training information

June 30, 2006 – The Sprockids On-Line Leader Training is still free for those interested in becoming trained to lead Sprockids programs. The following is a summary of how to register for the training.

A. Go to the Sprockids webpage (http://www.canadian-cycling.com/sprockids/english/leader/leader.php). Click on Registration and fill out the form. After registration is completed and the CCA has received all necessary documents (see #2), a password will be sent to the individual so that they can enter the system and begin their training.

B. Required Documents – In order to become a leader we still require a letter of recommendation from an affiliated association and A POLICE CHECK. A copy of the police check must be mailed or faxed to the CCA. (contact info: http://www.canadian-cycling.com/English/contact/directory.htm)

C. Please ensure you complete the full training including the exam. In the past, there has been problems with students not taking the exam at the end of the on line training. Leaders will not receive their leader kit and leader identification card unless they complete and pass the exam. If you did not receive your card and you passed your exam, please contact the CCA.

D. Each student will be assigned a Master Course Conductor who they can contact should they need any help with the training, or if they have any questions about holding a Sprockids course.

E. You may also contact the OCA directly at sprockids@ontariocycling.org with any questions and to see how you can get a program started in your community.
