May 5, 2003 – Yesterday's 35th running of the Springbank Park Road race saw the strongest teams and riders of Ontario contest an exciting race in warm, sunny conditions. In the women's race, the always-strong Merrill Collins (La Bicicletta) took the win over Barb Brzezicki (Midweek Cycling Club) and Ann Turrin (Victory/Amoroso's).

In the men's race, Atlas Cold/Storage Italpasta's Jeff Hansen made Springbank history by becoming the only rider to win the race three times. National champion Andrew Randell (Independent) was second, followed by Hansen's teammate Bryan Rusche.
