October 3, 2006 (Montreal, QC) — Specialized will make an official announcement later today that it has signed a multi-year deal (we understand 3 years) to supply Quick Step with frames and other Specialized product. With top riders such as Belgium’s Tom Boonen and recent 2006 Salzburg road champ Paolo Bettini from Italy on the team Specialized is excited about their expanded presence on the Pro Tour. They will continue with Gerolsteiner and will have more exciting news following today’s announcement that will see upwards of 75 riders using Specialized product in the pro peloton.
