A viscoelastic polymer insert is pressure-fitted into the post below the clamp, and is intended to assist the vibration-damping characteristics of the
carbon fibre. After several hundred kilometres, we were convinced that the post succeeds admirably, taking the edge off larger bumps without the sharp kickback common in many traditional carbon posts, while still providing the small-bump compliance that ensures comfort on long rides.
