July 5th 2002 – International and local riders wowed the crowd during the
invitational Sol Superhit dirt jump contest. The three-person judge panel
included none other than France’s Anne-Caroline Chausson, Great Britain’s
Steve Peat and Vancouver’s own Andrew Shandro. With beers in hand, the trio
judged the raw talent of the riders.

Competitors included the likes of locals Richie Schley, Chris Donahue,
Gareth Dryer, Cory Derpek, and Thomas Vanderham. Germany’s Timo Pritzel
however, stole the show, impressing the crowds with his talents and
unbelievable manoeuvres on the bike.
