May 3, 2007 — Canada’s Ricky Federau (Can) Trek placed fourth in the Skoda Auto Grand Prix MTB #1 in Chodziezy, Poland on April 28. The race consisted of 14 laps of a 2.7-kilometre course for a total of 39.2 kilometres.

“The race was the worst course I have ever done,” wrote Federau in his blog. “There was this sandy ski hill and the course was 2.7 kilometres long and there was tons of running due to the sand.”

Thirty-eight men started the elite race, including Canada’s Marty Lazarski (Can) Rocky Mountain-Haywood, who did not finish. Federau and Lazarski will compete again in Poland this coming weekend.
