June 9, 2004 – ExtremeRoad.com is pleased to present the seventeenth annual
K-W Classic Road Race on Sunday June 13, 2004 at Hidden Valley in Kitchener,
Ontario. This is race #3 of the prestigious SISU Ontario Cup Road Series.
The race course follows a rolling 4.6K circuit featuring two climbs per
lap plus a sharp S-curve leading into a corner at the top of the finishing
straight, making for an exciting finish for both riders and spectators.
New for 2004: Novice Races
The schedule has been expanded to include two
Novice races: Under-19 and 19+ Novice. For these categories, riders are
permitted to register if they do not currently have a road racing licence.
Citizen Permits and MTB-only licences can be used to register, otherwise
One-Event Permits for Novice races are $5.
New for 2004: Increased Distances
All races are one lap longer than in previous years.
New for 2004: Feed Zone Location
The feed zone has been moved to the upper
section of the second climb, just before the final corner. Please see the
technical guide for a map.
New for 2004: Prize List Increased
There are medal presentations for all
individual Master categories and the prize list has been increased to over
$3500.00 cash.

Under-17: Men 8:45 a.m. – 50K, 11 laps, $20.00
Junior Men: 8:45 a.m. – 80K, 17 laps, $20.00
Senior 3 Men: 8:45 a.m. – 80K, 17 laps, $30.00
Master A 30-39: Men 8:47 a.m – 80K, 17 laps, $30.00
Master B/C/D: 40+ Men 11:20 a.m. – 70K, 15 laps, $30.00
Senior & Master Women: 11:22 a.m. – 70K, 15 laps, $30.00
Junior Women: 11:22 a.m. – 50K, 11 laps, $20.00
Senior 1 & 2 Men: 1:30 p.m. – 120K, 26 laps, $35.00
Novice Under-19: 1:30 p.m. – 110K, 2 laps, $15.00*
Novice 19+: 1:30 p.m. – 115K, 3 laps, $15.00*
*Only $10 for OCA Citizen Permit holders.
*$15 includes the cost of a One-Event Permit.
Registration
Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes 15 minutes before race
start time. UCI
Licensed riders as well as Under-17 age riders with OCA Citizen Permits are
eligible to register. Unlicensed riders may register by purchasing a One
Event Race Permit for an additional $10.00. U.S riders with Domestic
licences are required to purchase a One-Event Race permit. An OCA
representative will be on-site to handle licensing issues. Please note that
there is no pre-registration available.

and it contains full information regarding the course, schedule, event and
equipment rules as well as maps and a description of prizes.
Video Finish System
The ExtremeRoad.com Video Finish System will be used for timing and
computerized results.
Race Numbers
Riders are expected to supply their own OCA-issued SISU road race numbers.
For those without OCA numbers, there will be temporary numbers available for
a refundable deposit of $5. Novice riders are issued numbers free of charge.
Please bring your assigned numbers to registration. Also note that if you
were issued numbers in the range 1-99 at a previous race that those numbers
cannot be used at this race. Please contact the OCA if you are unsure of
your assigned road race number.

Directions
From Toronto, take Hwy 401 west and exit at Hwy 8 to Kitchener. Take the
Fairway Rd exit and turn right onto King St E for 1 block, then right on
Fairway Rd. Go approx. 1.5K then turn left on Wilson Ave. Go 0.5K, then
turn left on Goodrich Dr. Follow signs to Parking and Registration from
Goodrich Dr.
From London, take Hwy 401 east and exit at Regional Rd 8 (King St E) to
Kitchener. Follow King St E for 6K then turn left on Fairway Rd. Follow
the directions as above from Fairway Rd.

0% P.O.P., light NW winds and a high of 23 degrees.
