Simpson top Canadian at Challenge du Prince – Trophée de la Maison Royale

February 14, 2017 (Morocco) – Canada’s Bayley Simpson (Team Canada/RaceClean) was the top Canuck at the Challenge du Prince – Trophée de la Maison Royale on Sunday, Feb. 12 crossing the line in 24th. The 133.5km route took riders around Taroudant, Morocco in the UCI 1.2 level event.

The race was won in a bunch sprint by Moroccan Ahmed Amine Galdoune. Jay Lamoureux and Edward Walsh, both Team Canada/RaceClean, finished six seconds back in 35th and 36th, respectively. Adam Jamieson (Team Canada/An Post Chain Reaction) finished 62nd while Derek Gee (Team Canada/RaceClean) finished 71st.

The Trophée de la Maison Royale concludes the 2017 Challenge du Prince, which consisted of three days of racing, from Feburary 9-12.
