February 23, 2007 (La Paz, Bolivia) – There has been no news from Simon Boily, 23, of Alma, Quebec, since he left the Bolivian capital on January 21 according to the Journal de Quebec. He was heading by bicycle toward the village of Coroico, 100 km to the north by what is considered to be the most dangerous road in the world. According to plan, he was to return to La Paz and fly back to Canada on February 15. Boily never showed at the airport and his family has since reported him missing. The area has been hit by heavy rain, cutting the road in a few spots, and there is some hope that Boily is seeking shelter with locals, but unable to communicate his whereabouts.
