April 12, 2007 (Peterborough, ON) – Shimano is sponsoring a video contest on YouTube to encourage people to get out there and ride their bikes.

Quickrelease.tv has created a space on YouTube for cycling fans to post their prize-winning videos on the topic of “˜I want to ride my bicycle.’

Video submissions must be two minutes or less and those who submit footage must be the owner of the video. Judging will be based partly on the number of views via YouTube and by the merits of the submitted video.

The competition winner and two runners-up will receive great Shimano merchandise including a full Alfine groupset, Deore XT mechs, Deore hydraulic brake sets, 105 brake calipers, and the list goes on.
