Ontario Bike Summit – Register Today!
Have you registered for this year’s Ontario Bike Summit yet? Join us April 24-25th in Toronto for one of Canada’s premier cycling conferences. Information is available here.

You’ll be inspired by international speakers Andreas Rohl – Manager of Copenhagen’s Cycling Program, London England’s Alexandra Goodship Senior Cycling Delivery Program Manager, Transport for London and from California, April Economides, Program Manager of the City of Long Beach’s Bicycle Friendly Business Districts who will inspire you with case studies on how you can work with local businesses in your community to ensure cycling is a key part of economic development. Concerned about removing parking spaces to make room for bikes? Let April show you how they conquered those challenges – and more, in Long Beach, host community for the Pro Walk, Pro Bike 2012 conference.

Closer to home, hear success stories from communities across Ontario who are prioritizing bikes – and reaping the benefits.

Finally, we have great news – over 45 MPPs from all parties in the legislature have confirmed they will be joining us for our MPP Reception at Queen’s Park. The list of MPPs is available here. Check it to see if your MPP is attending. Cycling is on the move. Join us – and your MPP – and experience it first-hand!

See you at the Summit!
Yours in safe cycling,
Eleanor McMahon

Ontario Bike Summit: Nominate your favorite retailer for our “Bicycling With Heart” Award
Nominations are open for this very special award given yearly at the Ontario Bike Summit in recognition of a bicycle retailer who goes “above and beyond” in their service to the community. This award recognizes the many retailers in Canada who are community builders. They devote their time and energy to contribute to the health and well being of their community, and donate to numerous community causes. This is your chance to recognize a retailer you admire.

Previous winners include Dennis Mizerski (Racer Sportif); Doug and Marion’s Bike Sales (Strathroy) and Bob Laughton, Bushtukah (Ottawa). The winner will be announced at our celebration of cycling evening as part of the Ontario Bike Summit on April 24th.

Send us your entry to info@sharetheroad.ca  – nominations close on April 10th.
