July 23, 2018 (Québec) – The Sentiers du Moulin (SDM) and the Quebec company Garneau continue their partnership and take an approach based on development and youth. Supported by a generous contribution from Garneau, access to the trails and rental bikes will be offered free of charge for children aged 12 and under. The inauguration of the “Ti-Louis”, a 1.1-kilometer trail specially designed for young riders and entirely funded by Garneau, officially launches this youth-based approach.
“Our relationship with SDM began last winter with a fatbike rental service, and we wanted to continue supporting this great organization. Helping the youth is a core value at Garneau and our partnership with SDM is directly related to our mission of making cycling fun and accessible, as well as being an investment in the development of our communities. That is why we are very proud to encourage youth development with the Ti-Louis path and free bike rentals for children aged 12 and under,” says William Garneau, general manager at Garneau.
“We want Sentiers du Moulin to be a model and an asset for the community. We are known for being an intermediate/expert-level center, and it was important for us to diversify our offering. We work very hard to establish SDM’s reputation as a leader in Canadian mountain biking, by the quality of its paths and by the involvement of the cycling community that rides there. In this sense, Garneau’s values and business philosophy are very complementary to our own,” explains Hugues Fournel, director of operations at SDM.
