April 12, 2003 – Yesterday's fast circuit race on the Laguna Seca raceway saw Canada's Lyne Bessette (Saturn) and Genevieve Jeanson (Rona-Esker) finish ahead of the field, with Bessette taking the victory. Originally today's stage was to be a criterium, but the organizers decided they needed a tough stage to make up for the “protested” first stage that was shortened for the men. Michael Creed (Prime Alliance) took the win, over Saturn stalwart Tom Danielson. The bunch sprint was won by Canada's Gord Fraser (Health Net) over Canada's Michael Barry (USPS).
