April 11, 2019 (Monterey, CA) – Peter Disera (Norco Factory Team XC) was the top Canadian landing second on the podium in the Pro Men’s 8-lap UCI HC XCO race at the Sea Otter Classic. Fellow Canuck Andrew L’Esperance (Can) Norco Factory was third and Leandre Bouchard (Can) Pivot Cycles – OTE finished 4th as Christopher Blevins (USA) Specialized Racing took the win.
Catharine Pendrel (Can) Clif Pro Team was the top Canuck in 5th in the 7-lap Pro Women’s UCI XCO HC competition won by Annika Langvad (Den) Specialized Racing who defended her crown over Erin Huck (USA) Independent in second and Kate Courtney (USA) Scott-SRAM MTB Racing in third.
Sandra Walter (Can) LIV Global Racing was 10th, Emily Batty (Can) Trek Factory Racing finished 14th and Haley Smith (Can) Norco Factory was 16th.
