April 15, 2007 — The sunny skies and cool weather stuck around to make for great conditions for this afternoon’s Pro Downhill. The ground dried up just enough so that the course was not sloppy as in year’s past. Nathan Rennie (AUS, Santa Cruz Syndicate) notched up another podium finish for the Syndicate, and Rachel Atherton (GBR, Commencal) won another medal as well for her new 2007 sponsor Commencal.

Old-school downhiller Jurgen Beneke made a surprise appearance this weekend and managed to get a second in the Super D and a 6th in the downhill. Don’t call it a comeback yet….
